adidas Microbounce T1 Gets “Solar Red” Accents
After reintroducing the Microbounce T1 at the top of the year, adidas has rolled out the singular running sneaker in several fresh colorways — the latest of which is a sporty “Core Black/Solar Red” makeup. With a compelling material mix and recognizable cushioning tech, the “Core Black/Solar Red” is an appealing nod to a prior era of adidas Running footwear.
Black mesh uppers offer ribbed texture, and are overlaid with high-gloss black patent leather mudguards plus patent Three Stripe midfoot graphics. Heel tabs, eyestays and throats opt for flat black hues, with a jeweled red/silver Bounce logo placed on the tongue. Down below is where this style truly earns its stripes, however. The Microbounce footbed — high-tensile pieces of circular synthetic material that flex under pressure and snap back to return energy — provides responsive cushioning, and is split between red in the heel and clear builds in the forefoot. Translucent heel clips show off the black EVA foam insole, and dual-colored outsoles complete the look.
The adidas Microbounce T1 “Core Black/Solar Red” is currently sold out at adidas UK, but will likely hit the Three Stripes’ stateside stockists in the coming weeks. The MSRP is set at $160 USD.
