This volume is less romance-y than the previous one, and has more action. Kyutaro and Fumi have a talk with the snake that lives inside Kyutaro, and end up making a deal with it: they’ll take the snake to see the Seiryu Clan’s snake, and Kyutaro gets to keep control of his body. Unfortunately, they learn the Seiryu snake is more powerful; what will they do now? We get to learn more about the snakes, which sets up all kinds of interesting things for the future. Our lovebirds are settling into a deeper relationship, learning to trust each other and respect each other’s abilities. Fumi is getting more comfortable with her power, and we learn a secret about one of the Seiryu Clan’s members. And the art in this volume! So lovely, with lots of otherworldly scenes. Looking forward to volume 12!
