Adidas Reveals Its Fourth Collection With Alexander Wang
Adidas has officially unveiled its latest collection with New York fashion designer Alexander Wang.
For the partnership’s fourth season, Wang continues to fuse his design language with the world of Adidas. The result is an 18-piece collection of apparel and five footwear styles—the AW Turnout Trainer, AW Puff Trainer, AW Futureshell, AW Bball, and AW Skate Super.
Most styles are returning from past collections with slight design tweaks. Each combines elements of the Adidas archive with fashion-forward details like chunky midsoles, inside out uppers for a more deconstructed look, unique lacing setups, and various forms of Wang branding. The new silhouettes being introduced into the fold for this offering are the AW Futureshell and AW Puff Trainer. For the AW Futureshell, black and white patent leather versions will be available. The model places an upper reminiscent of 1997’s EQT Elevation atop a trainer-inspired midsole design. The Puff Trainer is featured in a black textile upper inspired by puffer jackets with maroon and green accents. An elastic ankle collar and chunky midsole complete the design.
The Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang Fall/Winter 2018 collection hits adidas.com, alexanderwang.com, and other select retailers on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Footwear pricing ranges from $200-$250.
