Adidas To Release Superstar XENO Silver On September 11
The new silver colorway and the original black colorway of the Adidas Superstar XENO.
Adidas’ iconic Superstar silhouette is getting a new color technology makeover with the release of the Superstar XENO Silver. Inspiration for the shoe was taken from a snake found in Southeast Asia, the Xenopeltis, which is identifiable by its iridescent scales.
The silver colorway hits stores Sept. 11 and will retail for $110. Along with the silver colorway, the brand will restock the original black colorway with Adidas Originals retail stores, which was first released in February over NBA All-Star Weekend.
The shoe, in natural light, has a slight silver tone to its upper with visible iridescent colors. As soon as a camera flash hits the silver shoe, the colors spanning a rainbow spectrum illuminate and change as the angle of the light does. The shoe boasts a white outsole and its classic shell toe toecap.
Following the release of the Superstar XENO Silver is the Adidas Originals Vanguard Collection, hitting stores Sept. 12, which features the brand’s ZX Flux and ZX Trail Mid silhouettes. The ZX Flux Chief Diver, inspired by nautical seascapes and the life that inhabits it, boasts a rare species print neoprene upper with glow in the dark accents. The shoe will retail for $130. The ZX Trail Mid Scout Leader, influenced by survival enthusiasts and campgrounds, features a duck canvas and nappy suede upper that boasts embroidered patches. The shoe will retail for $140.
