Alex Letang announced the starting lineup before his dad’s 1000th career game in very wholesome moment
If you were looking for wholesome content that makes you feel good, you clicked on the correct link. Kris Letang has had a nightmarish season and year, but last night, he celebrated his 1000th career game, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most special moments this NHL season.
Kris Letang suffered a second stroke this autumn, and when he finally returned to the ice, he sustained a lower-body injury that sidelined him for the Winter Classic.
At the beginning of the new year, Letang’s father passed, and he received a whole lot of support from the entire Penguins team and the city of Pittsburgh.
Kris Letang is a hero in Pittsburgh, and despite all the heartbreaks and setbacks this season, he’s still played great hockey. And on Sunday, he reached a remarkable milestone, and he deserves all the praise.
Kris Letang played his 1000th career game, and it was a moment to celebrate in Pittsburgh. The Penguins rolled out the red carpet, and we saw a special moment as Kris’ son Alex Letang also joined the celebration.

Alex Letang introduced the starting lineup in the PPG Paints Arena’s speakers, and he had a natural talent for it.
Alex Letang started out by introducing goalie Casey DeSmith and Brian Dumoulin before he got to announce his dad.
“And playing in his 1000th NHL game, our dad, #58 Kris Letang,” he said.
Kris Letang also announced Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust, and Sidney Crosby before he got to hug his dad and wish him good luck in the game.
Way to go, Alex!
Kris Letang didn’t record any points in the game, but the Penguins won against rivals Philadelphia Flyers, 4-2, so we assume that Letang was happy anyways.
