Alexander Bell is Notable.

A teacher and researcher of physiological phonetics and was the author of numerous works on orthoepy and elocution. The inventor of Visible Speech and George Bernard Shaw’s inspiration of the character Henry Higgins in his play Pygmalian.[1]

Alexander, born in 1819, [2] was the son of Alexander Bell and Elizabeth Colville.

He married Eliza Symonds in 1844.[3] They had three children. After the death of Eliza in 1897, he married widow, Harriet Shibley (nee Guess).[4]
