“I read some of the other Yelpers’ reviews of the renovations and I agree. I came here last week and I thought the renovations were gorgeous. The place is dazzling, with red carpet and plants. Nothing like the deserted terrain from yesteryear. It’s very trendy now. It’s hard to compare to the Promenade because they’re almost different malls. Santa Monica Place is stores of designer fashion lines, like I think I saw an Alexander Wang store, BCBG, Joe’s Jeans, LV, and Hugo Boss. On the other hand, the Promenade has the more affordable stores, like American Apparel, Urban Outfitters. I like the new renovation, but I prefer the Promenade. At least my wallet does.”
