Who doesn’t like some free lipstick samples? A few weeks ago Burberry were giving away their new range called Burberry Kisses on twitter and anyone could get their hands on it whenever a friend nominated them to win. I was lucky enough to receive two ( I may have borrowed one from my mum, but that’s just the extra detail) so I decided it would be fun to feature them and tell you what I personally thought about them.

As packaging goes, they kick ass. I love the fact that they’re square, sleek and look expensive. As for the product, they definitely left me with a smile. The consistency is quite smooth, creamy and rather moisturizing without being too think. It can go from being quite sheer to rather buildable without looking overwhelming and uncomfortable on the lips.

The palest shade, Nude beige, can wash some people out so I suggest you use a lip liner underneath to add some dimension and definition. I do however believe that it’s a gorgeous nude for all the girls that love that Kardashian look. The other shade I tried is Sepia, which turned brighter than I expected from the images online. I think it’s the perfect spring colour, a bright neutral pink that can suit so many skin tones!

As they’re really moisturizing, they don’t stay put if you eat, so I can’t really say that they give you six hours of continuous hydration as stated on the Burberry ads. I do feel that they’re extremely easy to wear no matter what the weather making them perfect for the festival season since the sun and hot temperature can really dry up the lips.

Overall I am really impressed and pleased with these lip products and I’ll certainly be checking out more items by Burberry beauty.

Have you tried any of their lipsticks? What do you look for in a lip product during the hot months?
