Balance Me Vitamin C Brightening Eye Serum review

What are the key ingredients?

  • Elderberry Flower for its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory-rich flavonoids, tackling dark circles.

  • Green Caffeine to refresh your under-eye area and reduce puffiness.

  • Hyaluronic Acid to retain moisture and plump up your skin.

  • Mica which has light-reflecting properties to minimise the appearance of dark circles.

  • Ascorbyl Glucoside, a water-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. It has brightening properties, boosts collagen production and protects against skin-damaging free radicals.

How and when to use Balance Me Vitamin C Brightening Eye Serum?

This eye serum can be used after your serum and before your moisturiser, in the morning and evening.

You only need to apply a tiny amount under your eyes then gently massage towards the outer corners of your eyes then gently pat it down.

The product has a dispensing pump which makes it easier to only use what you need.

The brand suggests keeping your eye serum in the fridge for an even more effective “depuffing” effect.

My review of the Balance Me Vitamin C Brightening Eye Serum

What I love about this eye serum:

  • The texture. It is very lightweight, rightfully called Serum and not cream. I personally prefer this over a thick eye cream. It’s super easy to massage and if you apply makeup afterwards, it won’t crease.

  • The smell, very similar to the Repair Serum. It has a very refreshing citrus smell, coming from the Orange Peel & Mandarin Peel Oils included in the formula.

  • The feeling on my skin, especially when I remember to put the serum in the fridge. It feels super fresh and it’s the perfect texture for a mini under-eye massage.

Results

I have dark circles and if I don’t have a good night sleep, I wake up with puffy eyes.

Let’s not lie, an eye cream doesn’t miraculously make them disappear but I’m noticing that my under-eye area looks more rested and brighter after applying this serum. Vitamin C and Caffeine are two skincare ingredients that seem to work well for me.

If you have been using the same eye cream for years and love it, stick with it.

But if you’re looking for a new eye cream or if you enjoy the Repair Serum from the range, then I’d definitely recommend giving the Brightening Eye Serum a try!
