Balenciaga Brings the Triple S Back in a Range of Faded Colorways

Demna Gvasalia‘s Balenciaga has dominated the designer sneaker market ever since its Triple S sneaker debuted back in 2017, following on from this with the Track Sneaker to the more recent Runner Sneaker, and now it is re-introducing the Triple S — this time in a range of faded colorways.

As with all trends, the Triple S has come and gone a number of times as the love for chunky dad sneakers has emerged, grown, and evolved over the years. In its new faded effect, Balenciaga delivers the familiar silhouette in a take akin to the very first drop, only now they appear even more distressed than before.

Coming in black, blue, green, beige, or red, the infamous shoe is made from a leather-free, multi-layered upper that’s covered in a white overlay, taking “faded effect” to new heights. The result is something that looks as if it’s been rocked at the building site, covered in a thick layer of dust.

Everything from the outsole to the three-layer midsole, the synthetic upper and even the toe bumper sport the worn-out effect, while the double foam and mesh under panels remain clean to show off the base color alongside bi-color hiking-inspired rope laces, a clean tongue, and a matching inner lining.

Is this enough to bring the Triple S back? For those who think so, head over to Balenciaga’s website to pick up the pairs now, which retail for $1,090 USD each.
