Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2018: when normcore meets the Parisian chic
“It’s about the personality of the Balenciaga man. I’m feeling it’s becoming much more about that, which is why I wanted to shoot these kinds of guys you notice all the time on the street in Paris—this kind of Parisian chic”.
With the garments of the Pre-Fall 2018 Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia explores the Parisian style archetypes, born observing the people who normally crowd the streets of the Ville Lumiere.
In the images of the lookbook, obviously made in the French city, emerge the normcore attitude of the designer of Georgian origin and the tendency to merge many different pieces together, thus amplifying the possible outifits.
The new collection includes overcoats, plaid shirts worn with T-shirts, denim, windbreakers, Triple S and shoppers.
No menswear show this season for Balenciaga, who has decided to present the women’s and men’s collections together in March, so while you wait, the only solution is to browse through this lookbook.
