Over the course of the last few years, adidas has made quite the effort to be break into the world of high fashion, teaming up with beloved labels the likes of Prada as well as Gucci. Balenciaga is but the Three Stripes’ latest luxury collaboration — and after holding pre-orders much earlier in the year, the two are set to officially release the collection this Thursday, November 3rd.

Comprised of both apparel as well as footwear, the collaboration effectively bridges the distinct design languages of the two brands. Though reminiscent of classic adidas staples at a glance, the tracksuits, tees, hoodies, and the like have been cut in a way analogous to Balenciaga’s mainline. The denim pieces, oversized MA-1, and range of bags lean much more in this direction, while the accessories — e.g. the water bottle and dad cap — prefer to delve into the Three Stripes’ realm of expertise.

As for the shoes, classic Balenciaga styles take the helm. Alongside adidas-branded iterations of the Triple S and Sock Runner, the two have crafted stilettos and trackpant-heel hybrids. A Stan Smith was also revealed on the runway, its design emulative of a pair far older, far more worn, and far more distressed.
