Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has released a $1700 men’s T-shirt with a full men’s shirt tacked on the front. And the internet is not happy.

The brand that gained global notoriety for making a $2700 leather version of the IKEA shopping bag, and $1000 bedazzled Crocs has caused confusion and outrage online for its latest design, which is part of the new men’s collection.

This new Balenciaga ‘T-shirt shirt’ has caused a sensation online.

Balenciaga’s website describes the “men’s indigo T-shirt shirt” as “striped short sleeves and long sleeves (sic) shirts with two wearing options”.

So one would assume that for the $US1290 ($1713) price tag that you’re getting two tops in one: a T-shirt with a shirt attached to its front, or a shirt with a T-shirt attached to its back. Confused? You’re not alone.
