Balenciaga’s Collaborative Capsule With the World Food Programme Is Now Available

First spotted on the runways of Paris Fashion Week this past spring, it’s time now to catch a closer look at Balenciaga’s capsule collection alongside the World Food Programme — a United Nations humanitarian organization aimed to tackle worldwide hunger. In joining forces with the honorable initiative, the high-end house looks to convey a message that extends far beyond sartorial excellence, choosing to assist WFP in its mission to suppress hunger by the year 2030.

The collection itself is comprised of hoodies, T-shirts, a pullover, windbreaker, caps, belt bags, and a scarf, all of which features dual branding elements on the front with the phrase “Saving Lives Changing Lives” emblazoned on the back. From September 6 to February 1 of next year, the Demna Gvasalia-helmed label will donate 10 percent of the sale price of each branded item sold in all Balenciaga stores and online shop, as well as 10 percent of the suggested retail price via interested business partners carrying these products worldwide. To help kick off the venture, Balenciaga already gifted $250,000 USD to the World Food Programme to help out in its day-to-day operations of ending global famine. The collection is now available through the brand’s online shop.

In case you missed it, here are this week’s drops you don’t want to miss out on.
