Britney Spears’s ex-husband Jason Alexander gatecrashes location for pop star’s wedding – ABC News
Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested for crashing the site of her wedding just hours before the ceremony, authorities say.
Captain Cameron Henderson of Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said police responded to a trespassing call after 2pm on Thursday.
He said Speers’s first husband, Jason Alexander, was detained at the site.
He said Mr Alexander was arrested after officers noticed he had a warrant for his arrest in another county.
Earlier on Thursday, Mr Alexander broadcast a live video from his Instagram account as he approached the event security.
After making it onto the premises, he managed to reach the second floor of the home.
“Where’s Britney at?” Mr Alexander is heard asking a security guard who informs him he has to leave.
“Where’s Britney at, bro? I’m Jason Alexander, first husband.”
Mr Alexander was detained at the site of the wedding ceremony.( )
Mr Alexander then enters the wedding tent, where several empty rows of wooden benches are seen inside.
“She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Mr Alexander, who was briefly married to Spears — his childhood friend — in 2004.
Their marriage lasted only 55 hours.
“I’m her first husband,” he continues saying in the video. “I’m here to crash the wedding.”
Variety reported that officers were still investigating the alleged trespassing and would determine if charges would be brought against Mr Alexander.
Spears and her fiance Sam Asghari met on the set of a music video in 2016. They announced their engagement in September last year, shortly before Spears won a legal battle with her family and was freed from a 13-year conservatorship in November.
A representative for Spears did not immediately return a request for comment.
