The formula is thin and lightweight, I can barely feel it on my lips. At
times, I forget that I’m wearing any lipstick. Sometime even, I feel like the
color has faded because I can barely detect any product on but
when I check, the pigment is still going strong. This lipstick just feels very comfortable on, despite the matte formula.

slip and creamier consistency that it glides effortlessly across my lips with no tugging nor
pulling. It stays put, doesn’t feather
and settle along my lip lines.

I’m back to continue with my Burberry reviews . I hoped to do them last week but wasn’t able to because my sleeping patterns have bee out of whack after that unfortunate flu a couple of weeks ago. Anyways, I’m all better now so let’s continue on. :)I loved my first Burberry lip velvet so much that I decided to buy another shade. This time, I opted for a more natural color, Rosewood From Burberry – One stroke full coverage- Creamy, soft-matte texture- Caring comfort Rosewood No. 421 can be described as a medium dusty rose brown with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. This pretty pinky nude shade is great for everyday use. You can also glam up this up paired with a smokey eye makeup. I find this color very easy to wear and flattering that I almost always reach for this when I’m short for time. The formula and texture is consistent with what I experienced with Oxblood . The color payoff is still top-notch and this has a slight luminosity that gives a semi-opaque coverage. I can get away with just a single layer due to the neutral shade. The color can be built up to full coverage with up to three swipes. The formula is thin and lightweight, I can barely feel it on my lips. At times, I forget that I’m wearing any lipstick. Sometime even, I feel like the color has faded because I can barely detect any product on but when I check, the pigment is still going strong. This lipstick just feels very comfortable on, despite the matte formula. It has enough slip and creamier consistency that it glides effortlessly across my lips with no tugging nor pulling. It stays put, doesn’t feather and settle along my lip lines. Rosewood wore well for up to six hours. The color transfers, but not too much. I also need to reapply after eating a full meal but what I like about it is that the color fades evenly and gradually so I still get a pretty flush without any weird lines and residue. Being a matte formula, you would expect this to be drying but it wasn’t. Instead, this lipstick was hydrating and I didn’t feel the need to apply a balm while I wore this.As I’ve said, the Burberry lip velvet line has one of the best matte formula I’ve tried. It’s one of the best lipstick formulas, period. If I can afford it, I would probably buy more. Still, $35 price tag is worth it if you want a fully pigmented, non-drying, and comfortable matte lipstick.- nude shade- Lightweight, buttery formula- Highly pigmented- Luminous, opaque coverage- Rich, buildable color- Comfortable and non-drying- Long-wearing- Sturdy, luxurious packaging- None
