Burberry Oxblood Liquid Lip Velvet | Review

Hey guys, hope you all are having a wonderful day!

When this post is up, I would be going on another short trip with my mom in Australia. Although I might not be able to respond to your comments or likes immediately, I would try to check in as soon as I can.

Today, I have a short review for Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet. I got the colour of oxblood. To be honest, the colour is really out of my comfort zone. Normally nude pink is my colour, like dusty rose. I love Tom Ford Indian rose or Estee Lauder Dynamic (410). Occasionally, I would wear fuchsia when I am in the mood. I don’t think I have ever tried bold dark lips.I am being brave this time! 🙂

The Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet is described as having a “comforting, whipped texture” with velvet finish. The formula is long-lasting and non-drying. After I tried it, I fell in love with the non-drying formula. I have dry lips. Most of the liquid lipsticks or matte lipsticks I tried just highlight the lines on my lips. Not pretty at all!  When I apply this one, it feels very smooth. My lips also don’t have the super drying feeling when I wear it. I feel very comfortable with it during the day.

About the colour, I was surprised that the colour is not too hard to wear, even a little bit flattering on my skin tone. If I don’t want it to be too dark, I just dot some on my lips and use my finger to gently massage the colour into my lips.

It is not super long-lasting, but it lasts about 4-5 hours on my lips. I am happy with it given the comfortable light texture for a liquid lipstick. However, it does transfer to my cup/glass if I drink. Other than that, I am very pleased with this lipstick.

The Verdict:

The texture is smooth and non-drying. The pigmentation is excellent. I am quite happy to continue using it especially the summer is over here. I think I will get to use it a lot in the cold season. 🙂
