Burberry The Britain Automatic Chronograph

Burberry is famous among us and connoisseurs of the notion of luxury – that’s why we’re mentioning them for so many times. They aren’t renowned for their watchmaking capabilities as they are for their expertise in clothing. Based in Great Britain, the luxury fashion brand has recently added a brand new model to its The Britain series dubbed the Britain Automatic Chronograph.

This sophisticated timepiece – BBY2001 – is an exquisite, limited edition piece which will reportedly be manufactured in just 50 units. Just like the entirety of the series, it draws inspiration from the brand’s traditional Burberry trench coat, from the button colors to the stitching details.

Closely tied to the British brand’s tradition, the watch is made with great attention to detail. The Britain Automatic Chronograph BBY2001 sports an octagonal case measuring 47 mm in diameter, crafted from 18-carat gold and titanium with AR-coated sapphire crystal. The caseback houses a nice, transparent sapphire crystal display, through which the movement is partially visible.

The Britain Automatic Chronograph is powered by a Swiss automatic ETA caliber 2894-2 movement with 37 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph and backed up by a 42-hour power reserve. It is also able to resist depths of up to 50 meters. Furthermore, the rotor sports the Burberry iconic tartan check pattern. The strapping is made of grey alligator leather with soft dome padding, titanium ardillon buckle and tonal stitching.
