Burberry names Son Heung-Min as brand ambassador | SportsMint Media

The Tottenham Hotspur star, Son Heung-Min has inked a brand endorsement deal with the UK luxury fashion company, Burberry.

Son Heung-Min is a professional footballer, who plays for the Spurs in the Premier League and also captains the South Korea National Team. He had a wonderful season in the 2021/22 season of the English top-flight as he scored 23 goals in 32 appearances and shared the golden boot with Mohammed Salah.

Son is one of the most popular footballers of the current era, with a fan following of more than 12.6 million on social media. He is the latest football star to partner with a fashion brand in 2022. Earlier this month, the Manchester City star, Jack Grealish partnered with the Italian fashion brand, Gucci and the French footballer, Kylian Mbappe became the brand ambassador for Dior.

Burberry had previously partnered with the Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford in 2020 to help fund youth centres and support disadvantaged communities.

On his association with the brand, Son said, “I’m happy to be the new ambassador for Burberry.

“Being an athlete from the Premier League, it’s my honour to partner with a brand so rich in British heritage. I love Burberry’s strive for imagination and innovation which has been deeply inherited in its history, which are values that I champion.

“I’m very excited for our newfound journey that we will together develop.”
