Carlos Alcaraz is the new face (and body) of Calvin Klein’s underwear campaign | Tennis.com

With Carlos Alcaraz’s star rising faster than ever, the 19-year-old is adding another line to his already impressive resume: Grand Slam champion, world No. 1 and—now—fashion model, after being announced as the new face of Calvin Klein’s underwear campaign, “Calvins or nothing.”

Unveiled globally on Tuesday, the campaign was filmed and shot by photographer Gray Sorrenti, who captured the 2022 US Open winner in an evocative series of stripped-back portraits and videos.

“The powerful black and white visuals highlight Carlos’s strength and confidence and recall the innate sensuality the brand is known for,” the brand wrote in a press release.

Much like Alcaraz, photographer Sorrenti—daughter of celebrated photographer Mario Sorrenti—has been a teen phenom herself in the fashion photography world, with her work being featured in Harper’s Bazaar and by CK and Saint Laurent by the age of 22.

While Sorrenti has followed in dad’s footsteps—he famously shot Kate Moss’ own iconic Calvin Klein “Obsession” ad in the 90s—she has forged her own style behind the camera, crafting intimate “Calvins or nothing” campaigns featuring Belgian soccer star Romelu Lukaku, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke, and now Alcaraz.

“Confidence, for me, is to be yourself no matter what,” Alcaraz said in one black-and-white video spot. “I’m still finding myself, and I’m okay with that. That’s who I am.”
