Hydrating but…
All skincare products take time before you start to notice any changes. With that being said, I have been using this product daily over the course of about 3 weeks. I tried using it in the morning however with the hyaluronic acid and moisturizing ingredients in this product, it left my eyes feeling and looking a bit glossy. I switched to using it in my nightly skincare routine and I do like it better that way. I feel it has helped a bit with the dryness but I am personally looking for something a bit more in depth for the developing fine lines that come with the aging process. It is also unscented, which is great for those with sensitivities.

Amazing
I’ve been using this eye cream for about a week and I’m super impressed. I have severe eczema on my face, especially my eyelids which leave me with extremely dry, puffy, flaking eyelids. At first this cream burned when I applied it, but it wasn’t awful and didn’t last long especially compared to other creams and even prescriptions I’ve tried. Now after a week, the skin around my eyes is smooth and feels like normal, hydrated skin again! This cream has been a life saver for me. Cetaphil makes the best products for people like me who have dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin! Highly recommend this eye serum to anyone suffering from dry, flaky eyelids.

First time I bought the hydrating eye gel cream in target 6 months ago. I am 67 years old and this cream helps me a lot to hydrate and locks moisture under my eye area skin. I use this cream twice a day.

Good but not great
I was really excited to receive this in a VoxBox and test this eye serum out since I wasnt using one already. Ive been using this everyday for about 3 weeks now. I like the serum but didnt notice any dramatic improvement to my under eyes. I still had to use an eye cream to keep my under eyes hydrated. I like the packaging, its really easy to get the cap off and on. The price is good! The product itself is thin and sinks into the skin quickly by just tapping it in with your ring fingers. It works well with my eye creams and didnt ball up at all. Had no scent as far as I could tell. I just wish I had seen an improvement in my under eyes to make it worth adding in an extra step into my skincare routine.

Had horrible allergic reaction
As recommended by my dermatologist, I use Cetaphil lotion (both body lotion and facial) and it works great. Tried this eye serum and had a horrible reaction. My eyelids and along the sides of my nose/eyes and under my eyes all swelled up. I also had patchy rashes all around and terrible itching. It’s been three days since I tried it and my eyelids are still a mess and itchy.

burning and red
I purchased this to replace my normal hyaluronic acid serum, as it was cheaper and geared toward sensitive skin. However, I have used this twice now, and both times my skin became extremely red, with a burning sensation. I have washed my face and taken Benadryl to help… with no luck. If you truly have sensitive skin, I encourage you to keep a receipt and do a patch test.

Burns my skin
I bought this thinking that it would be a good product for the dry sensitive skin around my eyes. I was very wrong. It stings and burns when applied, and the stinging lasts for hours. After applying it just before bed, I woke up with flaky peeling skin all around my eyes. I assumed any product from Cetaphil would be gentle and effective but this is not the one.

light, all day hydration
Cetaphil has always been my tried and true ever since I was a teen with sensitive skin. Now in my late 20s & living in a very unforgivingly super dry climate, my skins needs have changed. This eye serum is so light and actually refreshing as its namesake! I personally dont have an issue with fine lines under or around my eyes (yet) but I could actually tell how soft my skin felt where I applied the product. It did well under my makeup and I didnt feel like it even affected my eyeliner which I was worried about. After trying this product from the deep hydration line, I think Ill try their other products more suited for my needs instead. Overall, I think its a good product if your eye area is a concern for you!
