According to WWD the face of Gabrielle, Chanel’s newest fragrance to be launched this summer, will be an actress already associated with the brand.
Olivier Polge’s new scent for Chanel will keep Chanel ambassador Kristen Stewart front and center in advertising for the brand. The September advertising will include a film campaign for the scent that was shot by director Ringan Ledwidge and a print ad lensed by Karim Sadli.
Stewart has been the face of campaigns for the Métiers d’Art collections and the Chanel Gabrielle bag, having been appointed the face of the brand’s makeup line in winter 2016.
Stewart originally rose to fame with her starring turn as Bella in the Twilight film franchise. Recent years however have seen her earn critical praise for a range of roles including a 2015 César Award for her work alongside Juliette Binoche in The Clouds of Sils Maria.
Fragrantica originally announced Chanel’s newest pillar fragrance (not a flanker) back in February HERE.
Prior to this new fragrance, Chanel’s previous major pillar was the successful Chance back in 2002.
