Chanel Australia Price Analysis

As requested by the community, we’re going to do a full analysis of the Chanel Bag Prices In Australia versus other countries.

We already know that shopping designer goods in Aussie is pricey, but the question is how expensive?

We’re going to compare the AUD prices with the following countries:

United States
Canada
Euro countries

United Kingdom
Singapore
Hong Kong

Australia
Japan
China

South Korea
Thailand
Malaysia

For the euro countries, we’re going to pick Italy for this analysis, because it has the highest tax-refund rate.

The price analysis for Australians and travellers

This article is very helpful and informative, especially for Australians because we’re going to do the analysis in two parts:

1). For local Australians: the AUD prices with GST included will be compared with the prices tax excluded (after tax-refund) of other countries.

Why? Because Australian citizens need to pay GST if they shop in their own country, but they can apply for tax-refund in foreign countries.

2). For non-Australian citizens aka tourists or travellers: the AUD prices are GST excluded and will be compared with the prices tax-excluded (after tax-refund) of other countries.

Why? Because tourists and travellers are eligible for tax-refund in Australia and other foreign countries.

The bag analysis categories

We’re not going to analyze every handbag, but instead we’re going to categorize them in 4 parts:
1. the iconic handbags: like the Classic Flap Bag or the Reissue 2.55 Bag
2. the boy bags: like the Small Classic Boy Bags
3. the upcoming classics: like the Trendy CC Bag or Coco Handle Bag
4. the seasonal handbags: new bags that are only available in certain seasons.
