You all probably know by now how much I love Chanel Beauty. The luxe and minimal packaging combined with their luscious textures and effective formulas have made their products staples on my vanity and bathroom counter.

In today’s post, I’m reviewing some of Chanel’s most popular skincare essentials including the infamous hand cream, SPF, and lip balms.

Keep reading to find out what’s worth the splurge and what to skip.

Chanel Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care Review

The Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care is a product that I’ve seen so many times on social media. I always thought it would make for a nice gift due to the beautiful packaging and universality. I picked this up during a shopping trip to Neiman’s when I was in the mood to treat myself and I’m so glad I did. This lip balm is buttery and hydrating at the same time. Although the texture makes it easy to glide over your lips, it doesn’t slip and slide like some other balms I’ve had the displeasure of trying. This has quickly become a holy grail in my night routine. I keep it in my nightstand drawer for easy access and use this as an overnight treatment or right after I get ready for my day.

Chanel La Crème Main Hand Cream Review

Another Instagram favorite, the egg-shaped La Creme Main Hand Cream isn’t just popular because of the aesthetic. It’s also very lightweight and hydrating. It literally feels like a burst of water as you massage it in and it absorbs so quickly without any greasy residue which is why it’s earned its place in my desk drawer to keep my hands moisturized and hydrated as I work.

Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Review

Chanel Rouge Coco Baume is the most luxurious lip balm I’ve ever used. It comes in the infamous Rouge Coco packaging and looks so chic in any handbag. This balm is more lightweight than the Hydra Beauty one mentioned above, so I do find that I have to reapply this one more often to keep my lips moisturized. It also leaves behind more shine on the lips, so it’s a great primer to a matte/drying lipstick. Although it’s more convenient to take on the go than the Hydra Beauty balm, it is not one that I would repurchase due to the lack of staying power.

Chanel UV ESSENTIEL SPF 50 Review

I picked up the Chanel UV ESSENTIEL Complete Protection Antioxidant Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 because I was looking for a sunscreen that felt like skincare and less like a makeup primer. I remember loving the texture of their Le Teint Velvet foundation that came in similar packaging as this SPF, so I gave it a shot. While the texture is very similar to the foundation in the way it leaves your skin blurred and silky smooth, it, unfortunately, leaves behind a purple-tinted cast on my medium-deep skin. I hope they come out with a black-girl-friendly version because the lightweight texture is amazing but for now, this will be reserved for days when I plan on wearing makeup in order to cover up the white cast.

Chanel Le Coton Pads Review

I also decided to Le Coton, a box of 100 rectangular cotton pads, debossed with Chanel’s interlocking c logo. Although these are just your regular cotton pads, they are a nice little treat for your at-home spa days. They’re also perfect if you just want to treat yourself to something from Chanel beauty that is not as expensive as their other products. I like to use these to apply any liquid products like toners or chemical exfoliators and they are really soft.
