Chanel Rosy Light Drops Le Blanc Highlighting Fluid Review & Swatches
Chanel Rosy Light Drops is a slightly cool-toned, very light duochrome with a pearl finish. It is a permanent highlighter that retails for $50.00 and contains 1 oz.
Chanel Rosy Light Drops Le Blanc Highlighting Fluid ($50.00 for 1 oz.) is a pale pink with very fine, pearl throughout that had a lightly dewy, luminous sheen for its finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage that was buildable to semi-sheer to medium at best, but it was described as a “sheer liquid highlighter” so it lived up to expectations.
The brand said that the liquid highlighter could be “worn alone or layered over makeup,” which I also found to be accurate; it applied evenly and sat well on bare skin as well as patted over base products (like liquid foundation) without lifting them up. The thinner, lightweight, and very fluid consistency (but not watery–like a very thin gel-cream) and when coupled with the sheerer coverage, made it usable mixed in with a base product (like a moisturizer, primer, or foundation) for an all-over glow.
It had a very pearlescent sheen that was noticeable in moderate to bright lighting (particularly illuminating in the sun) that didn’t look overtly shimmery after it dried down, and that smooth sheen gave it a dewier look despite drying down. It stayed no well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.
It has a noticeable, though not strong, rosy scent.
