Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Le Lion de Chanel Lipsticks

A few months ago, I picked up two colors from ChanelCollection ( all colors are still available ). Rouge Allure Velvet ($40, Chanel ) is one of my favorite lipstick formulas and the two shades I chose are absolutely gorgeous. I shared some swatches on Instagram a while ago but today I finally have a few overall looks so a proper review is in order.

There are both limited edition and ongoing shades in. For example, the popular ongoing color(one of my choices) is available in different tubes (the regular black Rouge Allure Velvet case and the red ) at $40. Is the lion head on the case worth 2 dollars more? I guess so.

Rouge Vie (58) & Rouge Triomphal (257)

Rouge Triomphal is a cool-toned red with a clear undertone. It is a flattering and youthful red lipstick that I would highly recommend. I can’t say Rouge Vie is the best shade on me but it is very beautiful regardless. This red with cool burgundy hues looks unique and sophisticated. No wonder it’s so popular.

The application and the wear are fantastic. As I said, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet is my favorite matte lipstick formulation. It is not completely transfer-proof but has the perfect amount of slip that feels very comfortable and flattering on the lips while lasting for a long time. For some reason, Le Lion de Chanel lipsticks feel even better than my other Rouge Allure Velvet. I am impressed.

Here are the makeup products I used for these looks. It’s my go-to combination when I wear saturated lip colors. I styled with different outfits and earrings, though. I didn’t know I have two zebra print dresses in different colors until today!
