Chanel Rouge Feu (57) Rouge Allure Velvet Review & Swatches

Chanel Rouge Feu (57) is a very warm-toned, dark orange with a satin finish. It is a permanent lipstick that retails for $45.00 and contains 0.12 oz.

Chanel Rouge Feu (57) Rouge Allure Velvet ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark orange with moderate, warm (redder) undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to my lips and didn’t seem prone to catching on my natural lip texture, though it wasn’t as flattering as some of the best shades in the formula have been.

The consistency felt smooth, lightweight, and wasn’t slippery–it glided on readily but didn’t have that “wet” feel that traditional lipsticks have had, so it did look and feel more velvety. It wore well for five hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
