Chanel-inspired slingback shoes, from £12

There are some fashion items that are so iconic they will always be copied. One such item is the iconic pair of Chanel cream and black slingbacks, which are the most perfect pair of elegant shoes for any occasion.

The only problem with the shoes is that they will set you back a cool £830, which certainly isn’t cheap. Luckily, the high street has been producing dupes of these beauties for years now.

ASOS is selling a very similar version of the Chanel slingback shoe, but for the design with much less of a heel. These are made from a faux leather upper material and don’t have a buckle on the slingback strap. However, they’re perfect if you prefer flat shoes.

On sale at the moment for just £12.60, these dupes are a much more purse-friendly way of getting the designer look for less. Although they’ve been such a hit, that there are only a couple of sizes left online.

Another super similar style of shoe we’ve seen comes from River Island. The main beige colour looks lighter than the original Chanel shade, but both shoes have a similar heel height, slingback fastening and black tip. River Island has put their own stamp to the shoe by adding an ‘RI’ charm on the buckle fastening.

One of the most perfect copies of the shoe style was from M&S, and they were such a hit that they’re currently out of stock. These Chanel slingback dupes are made from quality leather and come in sizes 3 to 8, making them much more accessible than the designer alternative.

If you like the colour combination but would prefer to wear a flat shoe, H&M has a pair of ballet pumps in the same colourway as the Chanel slingbacks for less than £20.
