To measure the circumference accurately, wrap the tape measure around your waist, like a belt, at your natural waistline, located above the belly button and below the rib cage. (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline.) Don’t suck in your stomach, or you’ll measure inaccurately.
