Easy Burberry Nails
Hi everyone and welcome to girlversusmakeup.com. I haven’t made a nail art post in ageeeeeeeees and there is a real reason why, I wasn’t just ‘inspirationless’ (is that a word?)
Basically, where I was coming up with new designs every day and using nail polish remover every day my nails turned in to a brittle mess. They were still growing but, at a certain length they just snapped off no matter how much nail rescue I used.
I put it down to using too much polish/remover and just decided to take a week or so off before I started again!
So, anyway. I thought what better way to start with a BANG than creating some easy Burberry nails…
You will need…
- Nail art tools or a toothpick. I always use these nail art tools.
- Red Nail Polish.
- Gel or clear top coat.
- Black and White Nail Art Pens. I always use these
- A nude base coat. I used this one
- A base coat to protect your nails. I used this sally hansen one.
- A top coat to seal in our design. I like using a gel one.
- Finally, I used some ‘stop biting’ on top of my nail but that’s completely optional!
# Step 1
First, protect your nail using a base coat. I used the Sally Hansen Nailgrowth miracle but, use any to just protect your nail bed from any harsh chemicals inside the nail polishes.
Using a nude base color or a soft brown, coat your nails evenly and allow them to dry.
# Step 2
This is probably the trickiest bit of the Burberry nail art and it’s creating symmetrical lines. It may sound hard but trust me, once you get in to it’s really easy.
Taking your white and your black, i’m using a nail art pen but, feel free to use polish. I’m going to then take a nail art tool but, again feel free to use a toothpick and i’m going to create four symmetrical lines.
Black, white, black white. I did find if your nails are shorter do only three lines (starting with black) or you might not have room for the rest of the design!
# Step 3
Once completely and utterly dry you can move on to the next bit of the design.
For this bit you are going to need your black nail art pen or polish. Taking a nail art tool or a toothpick create two lines heading upwards across the left hand side of your nail.
# Step 4
Once the black lines created in step three are completely dry we can move on with step four and our easy Burberry nails.
Taking your red polish and a nail art tool or a toothpick we are going to want to create two red lines. One that crosses along the top of the nail and another that heads down the right hand side of the nail.
Once completely dry we are almost done with our easy Burberry nail design…
# Step 5
Finally, coat your nails with a gel or clear top coat and allow to dry. This just seals the Burberry nail design in. I am also going to add some ‘stop biting’ nail polish as I have a tendency to pick off the design when i’m bored!
