Euphoria Eau de Toilette Calvin Klein perfume – a fragrance for women 2009

I have never ever liked a single Calvin Klein fragrance. Ever. Until now! I actually like this! I will admit I’ve had a feeling about Euphoria for a while now. The shape of the bottle and the color of the juice. One day, while at Marshalls, I even caught a whiff of the body spray version and that is what kept my interest going. Then last night I decided to order a sample to once and for all make a decision and put the secret question to rest. I spent time reading reviews for all of the flankers and the original and ordered a 1/2 ounce of the EDP and samples of this. Well wouldn’t you know, with some free time this evening, I went to TJMaxx and saw this little beauty sitting there tempting me! So I caved and bought it blind despite having a sample on its way to me as I write this.
I already had my day fume on but it was slowly fading so I figured it would work to spray on the other side of my wrist. I was immediately convinced I had finally found a CK scent for me! The woodsy notes are what win me over. I think CK spices are what I dislike (read- hate) so this is in the clear on that front. Orchid, Sandalwood and Amber along with a touch of green notes are what come together on my skin. I feel like I know this combination but I can’t put my finger on it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but on me, it’s almost a cousin to Coco Mademoiselle! There is something very strong, not in the aroma but the feeling or emotion. It is the scent of a woman who is sure of herself and is ready to take on the world. It isn’t sweet but strong, crisp and defined. I really like it a lot. And I can’t wait to try the EDP for comparison because I hear it is sweet. I think having both with be great!
I was quite shocked at this scent. Shocked at how I could like a Calvin Klein. Shocked at how different it seems to be on me than on others based on reviews. Shocked at how different it seems to be from what I’m guessing the EDP will be like. Overall, I’m shocked in a really good way! I am glad I finally gave it a shot. Sometimes it pays to be less snobby than I was being 😉
