A leading Food Production firm is seeking an experienced Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Lead to help lead the Quality team.
This individual will oversee the company’s quality management systems and ensure customer satisfaction. They will be responsible for developing, implementing and upholding standards, programs and systems to ensure food safety and compliance with regulations.
The Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Lead will have the following responsibilities:
- Guarantee that all products meet regulatory standards before distribution
- Interface with FDA and USDA personnel and ensure products are up to standards
- Implement and uphold quality-based KPIs
- Perform quality inspections
- Plan and oversee all quality systems implementation and product testing
- Enhance current quality processes and systems
- Identify and investigate customer quality complaints. Conduct root-cause analysis to determine cause of quality issue
- Create and implement systems to augment current processes and increase efficiency
- Verify that procedures and materials meet safety requirements
- Manages customer issues and implements corrective action, and implements quality enhancements to avoid future problems
The ideal Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Lead candidate will have the following skillset:
- 2+ years Quality Management experience within the Food industry
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Experience in a USDA plant environment
- People Management Experience
- HACCP or SQF Certifications
- Expertise with USDA and FDA regulations
- Proven people management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple processes and work in a fast-pace environment
