H&M shopper finds ‘jacket of dreams’ dupe for a Chanel designer one that’s £8.7k cheaper – MyLondon

An H&M shopper showed off one of her finds in the new upcoming collection, a Chanel-inspired jacket. The designer created the piece to “liberate women from the restrictive sartorial norms of the day” and put them “in suits that make them feel at ease”, said Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’.
The product has since been synonymous with the fashion house, with a handful featuring in Chanel’s ‘Cruise 2022/2023 Ready-To-Wear’ collection. The Glittered Cotton Guipure in light pink and pink has a suggested retail price of a whopping £8,780.
However, TikTok user @mollyparis_ managed to find a perfect dupe in H&M for the haute couture item. In a video uploaded to her account, Molly showed off her purchase to the music of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’.

She also captioned the post, “@H&M Chanel inspired jacket of dreams”. In the video she can be seen unpackaging her light cream-beige tweed jacket with accented jewel buttons.
While turning the label, it can be seen the clothing is made from recycled polyester. As she turned the label, the price was revealed as costing £34.99, a whopping £8,745.01 saving.
Molly’s video racked up over 67,700 views, 2,357 likes and a handful of comments. Many H&M fans asked for the code to find the jacket online, where Molly revealed the item isn’t yet live in the UK.

One viewer wrote: “It would be nice to be able to afford any decent new clothing right now!”
Another simply said: “I ordered instantly!”
Elsewhere a Zara shopper found the “ultimate” dupe for Kim Kardashian’s long-sleeved, high neck body from SKIMS. Made from Nylon and elastane, the bodysuit comes in at £17.99 which saved the shopper just over £58.
In a video uploaded to @georgiamils43’s TikTok account, she showed off her purchases. She captioned the video: “I was unsure about making this because skims dupes have become so oversaturated but these ARE a dupe I promise.”
