I found an Instagram hack that instantly makes every upload look better
A helpful netizen has shared a quick and easy way to make your Instagram posts look better.
In a post to TikTok, user @daniellaa_elliott revealed that tapping a button in Instagram’s settings is a sure-fire way to boost the quality of your uploads.
She said that the trick ensures that your videos are posted in “clearer and better” quality.
To try it for yourself, open up the Instagram app. Tap on the person icon or your profile picture in the bottom right to access your profile.
Tap the three lines in the top right, then tap the cog icon to jump into your settings.
From here, tap account > data usage. Hit the switch next to “high-quality uploads”, so that it turns blue.
Now, whenever you post a video to Instagram, it will be uploaded in the highest possible quality.
That’s because the social media app won’t compress your clips as much, keeping them as close as possible to the quality they were recorded in.
Typically, apps compress uploads (that means reducing the size of the file) in order to ensure they upload more efficiently.
Bigger files contain more data, meaning they take longer to upload over WiFi or your cellular network.
Compression comes at a cost, though: Your photos and videos are less crisp and clear than they are in their original format.
Switching on higher-quality Instagram uploads does come with its drawbacks.
By setting video uploads to “high quality” posts end up looking better.

According to the social media app, it will take longer to process larger files, meaning you could end up waiting longer for them to upload.
Additionally, high-quality uploads will eat up more of your mobile data allowance if you’re posting them via your mobile network, instead of WiFi.
Changing the setting does not affect the quality of your photo uploads.
Now, whenever you post a video to Instagram, it will be uploaded in the highest possible quality.
