Inspired by Yves Klein

Who was Yves Klein?

Yves Klein is a French artist born in Nice in 1928 and died in Paris in 1962.

From an early age, Yves Klein devoted his time to judo and traveled a lot. In the 1940s, he began keeping a travel journal in which he drew his first monochromes on paper. In 1954, he finally turned to art and began his “Monochrome adventure”.

It was in 1957 that Yves Klein perfected the manufacture of his famous color IKB (International Klein Blue) which characterizes his work of the blue era: his signature.

Yves Klein’s conceptual work transcends all borders and he was one of the first to set up real “happenings” such as his technique of living brushes.
