Jason Alexander: Trump a ‘disgraceful sub-human’ for response to mailed bombs

Jason Alexander is slamming President Trump’s response to the attempted bomb attacks on prominent Democrats, calling the commander in chief a “disgraceful sub-human.”

The former “Seinfeld” star wrote to his nearly half a million Twitter followers on Thursday:

The 59-year-old actor’s tweet came hours after Trump suggested on Twitter that the “fake news” media was at least partly to blame for political hostility across the country, writing, “A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News.”

A day earlier, Trump called the mailed explosive devices “abhorrent,” promising to “get to the bottom” of them.

{mosads}Explosives were sent this week to former President Obama, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and other prominent Democrats. CNN’s New York headquarters were evacuated after a package to former CIA Director John Brennan, an MSNBC contributor who has appeared on CNN, was flagged there.

All of the public figures who were on the receiving end of the packages have been the subjects of harsh criticism from Trump.

Authorities have not yet identified a motive or suspect.

It’s not the first time Alexander has weighed in on politics. The performer appeared in a campaign video for California Democrat Harley Rouda, who’s running against Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R).
