I use it as my foundation
I wanted to try something new and decided to try this as it has great reviews. I’m a full coverage gal as I have melasma on my cheeks. This Chanel bronzer can be build up to cover my melasma if I wanted to (and add cream blush on top to be the color corrector so all melasma is disguised) but if I do that it makes my overall face too bronze for the rest of my body. If I just use it as a medium coverage foundation and use a tiny bit of my Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation 16 hr full coverage in 42N Tan Neutral as the concealer (even though it’s my foundation) with my cream blush, all melasma is covered and looks very very nice! When I use Tarte as my foundation I still have to use a concealer so I am still doing that extra step for coverage but what I like about the Chanel is that my overall “foundation” looks like less foundation and more like skin. I do not set my face at all. It all holds up very well. I have a nice glow satin sheen which I love. The only gripe is if it is windy, pieces of my hair stick to my face as my face is still slightly tacky but not bad. I don’t want to powder so it is what it is and I’m ok with that. I went with the 390 (lightest color) and it matches nicely as long as I don’t build up to a full coverage and just use the Chanel as a medium coverage “foundation “. I am a light medium tan with neutral undertones. I don’t use a primer so I’m not sure how it will work with a primer but it works well with my PTR moisturizer and Bosia sunscreen.
An ok cream bronzer
I was super excited to try this because of all the good reviews. I find this to be ok. Not necessarily bad. But not my favorite cream bronzer. First of all, love the packaging. It’s sturdy and you get plenty of product. The bronzer has a very light, inoffensive smell. The product itself is a bit hard, as other reviewers mentioned and I did have to swirl my brush around in it more than other cream products. Not as creamy and easy to apply as I was hoping. I got the lighter color but I find it to be a bit orange. Too warm to also use as a contour for sure. Too orange for my taste. I will continue to use my nars laguna, which has a better color and creamier texture.

I was very upset about this because its so beautiful on the skin – i had to return it because it smelled terrible (a chemical smell / rancid). Im not sure if its a bad batch.

I’m in love with this. It’s so worth the money. It’s blends like a dream, looks beautiful, smells good and lasts all day. I will always have this in my makeup routine. It’s seriously amazing!!!!!

I wish this wasnt as pricey as it is but i know this will last a long time. It does have a very strong floral scent but thays signature with chanel products. A little bit goes a long way.
