Male Models Were Crying Tears of Glitter in Honor of David Bowie During Today’s Burberry Show

When the male models hit the Burberry Fall 2016 Men’s runway earlier today, it wasn’t their sporty track jackets (although we kind of need to borrow one) or classic trench coats that had us swooning. As the guys (and a few of our fave female models — we’re looking at you, Bell twins) marched down the catwalk, it was a subtle scattering of glitter under their eyes that stole our hearts.

Burberry beauty artistic consultant and makeup artist, Wendy Rowe, was responsible for the glistening starburst of gold glitter that lit up the models’ faces. Wendy decided on the shimmer as an ode to legendary musician and icon, David Bowie, who passed away yesterday. Bowie’s influence in not only the music world, but the fashion and beauty sphere was felt in today’s show. Burberry paid respect by playing Bowie’s songs as guests filtered in and by adding his signature flare to the beauty look. To DIY this glitzy move, simply pat lip balm (like Chapstick) under your eyes and then gently tap loose glitter on top.
