MasterChef The Professionals winner Alex Webb turns his Park Lane pop up permanent
He won MasterChef the Professionals in 2020 and has been popping up in one form or another at Number One Park Lane for the past eight months, taking over first the terrace and then popping up with a restaurant inside the hotel. Now Alex Webb (whose CV includes Hélène Darroze, Dinner and Roux at Parliament Square) is making his Mayfair pop up permanent.
Since starting at the hotel, Alex’s menu has been championing British produce while also using inspiration from his travels and nostalgic flavours from the chef’s childhood
As you might expect, running into Christmas, current dishes have a distinct festive flavour;
- Dill & cranberry-cured salmon, fennel, rye bread crisp, caviar
- Chicken stuffed with cranberry, sage & pork stuffing, black pudding, shredded Brussels sprouts
- Christmas pudding, eggnog ice cream, candied orange, redcurrant
The restaurant also features a bar, serving cocktails alongside a mix of French, English and natural wines, and cider from Sandford Orchards. There’s a choice of both cider and wine pairings alongside the restaurant’s four and seven course tasting menus.
