Miss Dior vs Coco Mademoiselle | Viora London
Iconic perfume houses Dior and Chanel have been producing elegant and stylish feminine fragrances since the early 1900s. As several of our readers have asked for a Miss Dior vs Coco Mademoiselle comparison, we decided to put both fragrances to the test.
I am comparing Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2021) with Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense (2018). Both fragrances share main notes of rose and vanilla, but whereas Miss Dior EDP is more floral and fruity, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense introduces the muskiness of patchouli.

Review
Released in 2021, Dior’s Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is a youthful and carfree fruity floral fragrance with a vanilla kick. This scent was composed by perfumer François Demachy.
An opening of apricot-scented peony mixes with powdery iris and fragrant Lilly of the valley. The heart of Centifolia rose petals delivers delicate floral hints of honey and pepper.
Once dry, a light musky woody base is soon sweetened by vanilla and tonka bean. Finally settles to a feminine rose fragrance with sweet vanilla and a moreish fruity tones.
When comparing to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense, I would say Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is less complicated, it’s pretty and easier to wear for any occasion.
Top Notes:
Lilly of the valley, Peony, Iris
Mid Notes:
Centifolia Rose
Base Notes:
Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Musk, Sandalwood
Seasons & Longevity
This confident, fun and carefree perfume is suitable for any season and occasion. I would wear this more of a daytime scent for lunches, days out and it is also office safe.
Performance is good, you can expect 6+ hours of wear with noticeable sillage and projection.
Benefits & Drawbacks
Pros
Beautiful rose scent with light fruity and vanilla
Cons
More of a daytime-only scent.

Review
Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense is an elegant amber woody fragrance that oozes class. Released in 2018, the perfumer behind this scent is Olivier Polge.
This fragrance opens with a surprising amount of fresh citrus that soon calms down. A heart of fragrant rose dominates nicely, supported by hints of jasmine.
Upon dry-down, the moreish sweetness of vanilla and tonka bean emerges, with earthy/musky patchouli taking effect after 20 minutes. Settles to an elegant dark and slightly musky rose fragrance with hints of vanilla and tonka bean.
When comparing to Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, I would say Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense is the more mysterious and worldly older sister.
Top Notes:
Orange, Bergamot
Mid Notes:
Rose, Jasmine
Base Notes:
Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Vanilla
Seasons & Longevity
As for when to wear, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense is ideal for autumn/winter and even creeping into spring. It feels a little more dressy and refined than Miss Dior.
The performance of this fragrance is good and you can expect 5+ hours of wear with decent sillage and projection before it relaxes to hover just above the skin.
Benefits & Drawbacks
Pros
Elegant, refined and utterly classy dark rose scent.
Cons
Maybe too much depth for younger noses

Conclusion
Overall, Miss Dior Eau de Parfum and Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense are both well-balanced, feminine and perform well. I recommend you try both fragrances in-store and decide which one you prefer. Coco Mademoiselle needs to settle for 20 minutes to reveal its sensual muskiness so please bear that in mind.
As we mentioned at the end of our full review video, you can easily add both of these fragrances to your collection as Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is a versatile any season fragrance, whilst Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is more of an any-season daytime scent.
