N°1 DE CHANEL Revitalizing Foundation – CHANEL | Ulta Beauty

Fantastic, even for Chanel standards!

I had a feeling this would be good but I’m shocked at how GREAT it truly is. Previously, my go-to foundation was Chanel Ultra Le Teint liquid (shade BR22) and that will still be my go-to for more dressy/glam occasions. But for everyday wear, this is perfection, and BR22 in this formula is still a perfect match for me. It’s the perfect product to fit in-between tinted moisturizer and fuller coverage foundations. Here’s what I like: a little goes A LONG way. You can easily do your face with one pump. The coverage is somewhere between light and medium. The finish is very natural and skin-like. Not too dewy but not matte. This is long-wearing! Even though it does not claim to be. If you’re oily, this may not be for you, but for my normal to dry skin, this is perfect. And I love that the packaging is more sustainable while still maintaining that luxurious feel that Chanel is known for.

A couple tips:
Make sure you SHAKE this well. When I looked at this in-store, the testers must have been sitting for a while and the product came out very thin. It needs to be shaken so the product comes out thicker.
Shades with “R” in the name have a pinker undertone (rose)
Shades with “D” in the name have a more yellow undertone (dore = french for “golden”)
Shades that start with B and do not have a R or D are meant to be neutral undertones

Not for Fragrance Sensitive People

I do not ware foundation but when I saw the Chanel counter I gravitated towards the luxurious display. I dabbed the foundation on the back of my hand and it felt so sheer and beautiful that asked to take home a sample. Could this be the one that brought me into the fold? Got home and applied a fingertip amount to half my face to test, then went about my day. After a few minutes I noticed a strong scent trailing me. Another10 minutes and started feeling nauseas and headache…ok… 5 more minutes and my right cheek started feeling warm… immediately I realized the scent was coming from my face! I began washing it off and the skin was red underneath, eye itchy and chin inflamed. Moral of the story: If you have sensitive skin or have fragrance sensitivity, please take a sample home and test a small area on the face before committing to this product. I didn’t notice the smell in the store nor did it react on the skin then. Never had a reaction to a makeup product like this, but so many are now hybrids with skincare ingredients that may not agree with everyone. Im sure my reaction may be pretty uncommon, but just be safe anyways. What a bummer though, this was very promising in every other way.

Will not be buying a different foundation again!

This foundation is like pouring silk on your skin! I was buying the wrong product until I met Liduvina, “V” at Ulta in Carmel Mountain. She sat me down and redid my makeup and I’m a believer in this foundation. My skin looks, and feels, fantastic and all goes on smoothly and evenly. I will definitely spend the amount of $ on this going forward!!

Radiant!!!!

This is one of the best foundations i have evr uaed. My normal issues involve dry patches, separation and creasing. This foundation avoids all of those things! I actually prefer applying by patting it into my skin with my fingers. That gives me the most buildable coverage and even finish. That said, its a light-medium coverage and cannot be built to full. The light cream texture and smooth, satin finish are lovely, and i actually feel like my skin is conditioned with use. Will repurchase when i finish my bottle!

Amazing!!!

this is the best foundation I ever used. It only takes one pump to cover the face perfectly. Skin looks super smooth. Cream is very lightweight. Clean ingredients too!

Good for dry skin

I have tried pretty much every Chanel foundation. This one was OK, not for me. I have a balance skin type, leaning towards dry. This foundation is extremely hydrating, almost greasy on me. It takes a little while to dry down and I still have to use extra powder with this. Its light coverage, not very buildable either. Color is fine for me, standard b30 in chanel. Probably better for more dry skin types. I prefer the les beiges foundation.
