Not Your Average Review: ADIDAS DAME 5

Earlier this week, Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Damian Lillard debuted his fifth signature sneaker – the ADIDAS DAME 5. The shoe is set to hit retail in February of 2019. This shoe will most likely release at a price range similar to that of the DAME 4 ($115).

Performance

Until this shoe is tested widely by the public, it can be difficult to know how well the shoe will perform on the court. However, in looking at the silhouette of the shoe, some key performance features this shoe displays are increased lock down support via plastic side reinforcements, and flexibility with the primarily leather-based upper.

Style

The ADIDAS DAME 5 looks like a basketball version of the ADIDAS NMDs. This particular sneaker has a sleek outline that gives a high-top vibe without actually coming up that high on the ankle. As of now, there are five colorways of the shoe with hopes that more will be available at some point in the future.

Overall

In my view, ADIDAS did a good job with the DAME 5. Compared to the DAME 4, this shoe is more stylish, should be more comfortable to wear, and looks to have greater performance potential.
