Novak Djokovic hits Alexander Zverev on the bum after ‘deadly’ shot whacked him
Novak Djokovic hit competitor Alexander Zverev on the bum jokingly after being struck himself by a ‘deadly shot’. The pair met at the World Tennis League when world number 12 Zverev prevailed 6-3, 6-4 over the Serbian.
The 21-time Grand Slam champion might have been hurting after the defeat after Zverev hit a powerful shot into the Serbian’s chest. Commentator Robbie Koenig said: “That was a deadly accurate shot from Zverev.”
In true exhibition style the pair joked about the shot with Djokovic firstly pretending to smash the ball towards the German. Zverev then bent over in front of Djokovic who hit the ball softly at his bum.
The pair then embraced showing no hard feelings from the incident as Zverev led his Team Hawks to victory over the Falcons. Djokovic might up his game in the next match, which will see him take on Nick Kyrgios during the Falcons’ tie against the Eagles.
