Obituary of Daniel M. Klein

Daniel M. Klein, 75, of 140 Cook Avenue, formerly of Dover, DE, died Thursday May 20, 2010, in WCA Hospital.

He was born September 10, 1934 in Falconer, NY, a son of the late Jerry and Hazel Finnerty Klein.

He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1972 having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retiring at the grade of technical sergeant.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, War Vets Recreation and the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Club. He was also a life member of the Moose Lodge.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, family gatherings and “going over the hill.”

Surviving are his wife the former Patricia Higgins, whom he married December 26, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV; children Betty Benson, Janet and David MacDonald, Daniel and Patti Klein, Susan and Peter Cook, Darlene and Charlie Doepp, Lisa and Rick Ross, Wayne and Erica Quattrone, Laurie and Roman Gedz, James and Nancy Quattrone, Tina and Rick Simon, Tracey and Matt Storer and Jason Quattrone, 91 grandchildren including Amber, Eric, Brandon and Cooper Smith, Nicole, Brandon, Makayla and Devon Tweedy, Michele, Matt, Mackenzie, Natalee, Kaden and Dominic Doepp, Kylie, Michael and Eric Ross, Jennifer and Chris Collins, Kyrie, Sam and Caleb Pletts, John, Daniel, Logan, Sam, Abby, Dylan, Jacob and Gavin Quattrone, Ashley, Alexis, Nik, Gabby, Alek and Noah Gedz, Chris and Jenn Godlove, Rick and Ryan Simon, Cody Fellion, Haley Storer, Tara Boardman, Will Kraemer, Spring Thompson and Lisa Lukens; two sisters Rosemarie Cornell of Falconer and Judy (Ken Thompson)Ireland of Greenville, NC; and a brother Donald (Carmella) Klein of Falconer.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother David Klein.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell will be celebrant.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 12:30 p.m.
