Olly told his fans: ‘Hi honeys. Sadly I won’t be on tonight’s @thegrahamnortonshowofficial. I tested positive for Covid over a week ago.

‘I was hoping I’d test negative and get to end isolation early but alas no. My symptoms thankfully haven’t been bad and I’m a boosted babe so that’s good.

‘I love graham and singing so it’s a bit sad but I’m almost back to fighting fit woooo  I love you all.’

He added: ‘Been watching a lot of TV – all seasons of Dark, And Just Like That… Silent Sea, I played a lot of Two Point Hospital on the switch and I even made cauliflower cheese.’

Back in December, Olly hinted that he wants to see a second series of his highly successful TV show, It’s A Sin.

The singer told MailOnline: ‘I mean I would love to see a second series and see what happens to Gill, Ash and Roscoe.’

However, he also pointed out that the show creator, Russell T Davies, will likely be busy with other work commitments.

Olly added: ‘I would love that but I think Russell’s gonna be really busy with Doctor Who.’

Speaking on Doctor Who, he ramped up already intense speculation that he could be appearing in the latest series, despite ruling himself out of the top role recently.

‘Yeah maybe I would appear as a companion on Doctor Who,’ he suggested.

It comes after he dismissed the rumours he could play the Doctor himself, telling Press Association: ‘I’m definitely not going to be the Doctor but it’s going to be so amazing, Russell’s Doctor.’

He added that he wanted his It’s A Sin co-star to take on the role, saying: ‘I mean, it was before, and it will be again, and it has been great. So I’m excited to watch the show because I’m a fan.

‘[I’m] definitely backing Omari Douglas. I think the Doctor’s quite queer anyway – that’s my take on the character – and I think it would really make sense for a queer actor to take the role.’

‘I think it would bring something really great to the part and in the performance, I’d love to see that.’
