Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The role is responsible to run supply chain projects to successfully deliver assigned project or RFC, end-to-end, as well as support larger Global Logistics initiatives within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on the customers’ expectations and requirements. Also, responsible for conducting research and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities and potential problems within Global Logistics business. Develop and communicate the dashboard to provide visibility to senior managements helping the existing business problems or better achieve the goals for Global Logistics.

The role will further collaborate with the SCM stakeholders as well as internal and external data sources, integrate them and identify areas that will help adidas improve quality and speed in the end-to-end value chain.

Projects may be managed & delivered independently from, or in collaboration with our selected

4PL providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Source Solutions

  • Analyze and validate data to identify trends, risk and other hidden insights to improve the logistics decision making process with a focus on service levels, costs and innovation.

  • Develop dashboards and drive completion of reporting and data analytics projects for Global Logistics.

Project Management

  • Lead and manage small Global Logistics projects to successfully deliver assigned project or RFC, end-to-end, as well as support larger Global Logistics initiatives.

  • Ensure full understanding of project scope to be able to design detailed project plans.

  • Manage the execution and completion of the defined project plan by effectively coordinating people and resources.

  • Monitor and highlight any project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan and make suggestions to implement corrective or preventative actions.

  • If required, support any changes for the respective project and ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits.

  • Finalize all activities across the projects/programs to formally close and hand over the project, ensuring project documents are approved, completed, maintained and stored appropriately.

  • Lead LSP implementation and support Global Logistics systems mapping enhancement.

Financials and Controlling

  • Control the allocated project costs on time and in budget.

  • Support and/or drive the creation of business cases and ensure tracking mechanisms are defined and in place.

  • Ensure compliance with Global and functional standards, e.g. PMO, Finance controlling standards

  • Manage project budget by tracking and reporting the monthly budget accruals and variances and ensure timely and accurate invoicing

Communication

  • Use appropriate and effective communication methods to Senior Management and project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, in order to successfully deliver and embed the project within the organization.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel and Access

  • Business mindset: very good numerical and analytical skills

  • Good experience in managing projects on a global level

  • Logistics EDI setup and system implementation experience

  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures

  • Good communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups), especially when interacting with different levels of business

  • Able to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo and drive change
