Purity Made Simple Pore Minimizing Serum – Philosophy | Ulta Beauty

Great product

I developed rosacea last year, which enlarged my pores. I have the kind of rosacea that causes me to break out, how wonderful (sarcasm). I’ve been using Salic acid and other products just for the breakouts. I’ve tried nearly 30 different primers (no lie, or exaggeration) to smooth out the pores so that my foundation doesn’t settle into the poors. The closest I’ve found is by It cosmetics, but I could still see the foundation settling, especially on left cheek. It makes me feel extremely self conscious. I recently started using philosophy and this product stuck out. I figured that since I’m already using Salic acid, this would cut out an extra step, and maybe even help with my pores. The 1st 2-3 times I used it, I also used a heavy moisturizer, which I believe caused the product to be ineffective. I received a sample of the philosophy purity ultra light moisturizer. I was hesitant about it, bc if the moisturizer isn’t enough, my face will start to feel like it’s burning (similar feeling as when you have a sunburn). But then I thought, well it doesn’t hurt to try it since that day I was only running errands and could run back home to get my heavier moisturizer. Now, I will not have to try anymore primers or combinations of products, in the hope that they will keep my foundation from settling into my pores, making me look like I have some sort of odd skin condition. I cleanse my face, add a thin layer of the pore minimizer, let dry for about a minute, then apply the purity ultralight moisturizer and my pores nearly disappear. No more looking like I don’t know how to apply foundation or like I have an odd skin condition. Please keep this product and don’t change the formula. It’s everything I need for a flawless makeup day!

Pretty good!

I recieved the #philosphy @philosophy philosophy purity pore minimizing serum #complimentary from #influenster @influenster
This serum was very nourishing and while it absorbed well, it left a slight residue that made my face feel sticky. My skin is on the oilier side and some of the ingredients were a little heavy for me for daytime use. I played around with the amount I would use during the day and eventually just ended up adding this serum into my nighttime routine. It worked much better with my nighttime products. Overall, the pore minimizing serum was just okay for me. It didn’t really do much for my pores. The salicylic acid was a huge plus and it did help keep a hormonal breakout at bay, but I don’t know that I would add this product as a permanent staple in my routine. The ingredient complex was impressive so I’d say at least give it a try if you’re curious, but for my skin personally it didn’t change too much.

I used this once, at night, and the next morning I saw a difference. My skin looked more smooth and not mottled. So I have used it at least three times a week, sometime in the morning and sometimes at night. My skin just looks better and better.

I didn’t really notice any difference in the pores. My face felt very sticky after using just a tiny amount. Might be good for some, but not for me.

Delightful!

I am a huge fan of serums and this one did not disappoint. That being said, the packaging was a bit impractical.

Worst ever

This has broke me out soooo bad! I’ve used several things from this site and never had a problem but this is like teenage hormonal acne all over again and I’m 40!
