Quality Control Plans (QCP’s) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s)
Quality Control Plan’s (QCPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are both intended to be used to control the quality of works in a construction, mining or any other environment for that matter. These are powerful Quality Tools, that if used effectively and appropriately would achieve the desired construction quality of the project.
QCP’s – The intended use of these can be misleading but yet it’s very simple in use and application. QCP’s are used in general to control the quality – process, product, equipment and people etc. The use and application of QCP’s is ultimately intended for the final product.
ITP’s- The intended use of these is primarily to check and detect any potential non-conformities on equipment before being part of the construction, mining etc main activity. The use and application of ITP’s is ultimately intended for incoming material or equipment before the final product.
