First I would like to say that using retinol is not a magic wand ! I read so many people say they’ve been using for a week or 2 and see no results.. Well, guess what ?!!! You won’t see results for 2-3 months depending on the concentration of the retinol. I have combination/sensitive 35 year old skin, I love all the retinol products from this company. I started with 2 a week(could have prob gone 3 times! And worked my way up to 4 times a week. I have been using the one bottle for about 2 months and I see the difference. I was getting some wrinkles around my forehead and it looks a lot smoother now. I have also been putting it on my neck (retinol sandwich) and it has helped that area a lot. Again anything retinol is not overnight magic, it works but you have to give it time.
Great product for most, just not for my skin
I’m 29 and I’ve been looking to add retinol to my nightly routing for a little while now. I was super excited when I received this in my Vox Box to try! I’ve tried 2 retinol products before and am super conscious of very slowly incorporating Into my routine so when I got this for testing I went pretty conscious of just starting slow. The last 2 retinol serums I tried totally made my skin super angry so I ditched them and thought this might be different since la roche is so highly recommend by dermatologists. First night using this I had no problems, so 2 days later I popped this on in the evening again. When I woke my skin started showing the angry signs it usually does when I’ve tried retinol in the past but I stuck with it and liberally applied sunscreen to help me out. The 3rd time I tried this my skin just rally didn’t love it again which is such a shame because I love the packaging of these bottles, I love la roche products for the most part but my skin just kept breaking out really badly with this and giving me grief so I’ve had to stop using it I’m sure this is great for a lot of people and Im probably in the minority, I really loved the application and the bottle but my skin just doesn’t love retinol sadly.

I like this serum! It’s moisturizing and I see results. I love the smell too. It reminds me of walking in a department store and the smell of new shoes and purses lol Best I can describe it!

It is still too soon to say anything about the product other than it is gentle to the skin. However, the bottle it comes in is a hassle. You have to be really, really careful not to spill anything, and a little product still drips when you close it and leaves stains on the counter.

I started using this retinol about 2 weeks again and completely fell in love with it! I LOVE ALL of LaRoche-Posay skincare and would 109% recommend it to others. Especially women with mature skin. The whole skincare line has made my skin nothing but happy! I will continue to use it as long as it’s around!

This is my favorite serum! I have used others that were 3-4 x’s the price that do not work as well. My skin is not easily irritated, but I wasn’t sure if I could tolerate a retinol product this well. I highly recommend to anyone over 50 with combination skin – it keeps my congested areas clear and my skin in smoother and healthy looking.

Was super excited to try this. I have used other products from this brand so I figured there wouldn’t be an issue with my skin. Totally broke out everywhere, my face is bumpy and textured in areas I had never seen before. My face had been clear and my acne has luckily subsided for the past few years so it was a little shocking. It was also tacky when applying and I felt like my skin was burning. Unfortunately, I will not continue to use this product. A little disappointed that I had this type of reaction but it happens. Would just be cautious for those who have sensitive skin.
