My Thoughts on SOME BY MI 30 Days Miracle Serum Light
This serum is very very new that I had a hard time getting English details for this version. I didn’t even manage to find its INCI list online, so I could only refer through its packaging. There were complaints from SOME BY MI’s original version for this serum stating that the original one was too oily and it didn’t absorb well into the skin. So probably that may be the reason why SOME BY MI released this light version instead of discontinuing the old version.

I’ve compared the INCI list for the light version and the original version, it seems that the INCI is almost completely different. The light serum INCI list starts with its active ingredients Tea Tree & Cica while the original version starts with water and Cica while Tea Tree is the 15th on the list. The original version also contains quite a number of EO’s which is completely cut from the light version except for peppermint oil which is the source of fragrance in this serum.
The light serum also has a cut from a few flower extracts in the original version but comparing roughly to the INCI list, the light version looks more gentle to the skin without irritating ingredients.
Packaging
The light serum comes in a pump while the original version comes with a dropper. I prefer the pump better because it’s much easier to use and more hygienic too. It’s also a good thing that SOME BY MI differentiate this because it’s much easier to identify it since the design label is similar for both serums.
SOME BY MI’s Light Serum comes in a see-through hard plastic bottle with a pump cap. The pump works fine but it kinda spurts out the serum too far, so need to always be careful to pump facing directly to your palm if you don’t want a mess.
Texture
Almost like water, it’s a bit runny. This light green serum is super lightweight and doesn’t feel oily at all. It absorbs quickly into the skin giving the skin an instant supple feeling. I can’t compare it with the original serum since I haven’t tried the original one yet.
Scent-Wise
The serum has a very light minty scent which of course comes from peppermint oil which is used within the range. However, the scent isn’t that strong compared to the other products which makes this a plus feature for me.
Experience
I do not feel nor see any irritation or redness while or after applying this serum. So far my experience with this light serum is great. It easily sinks in the skin which reduces waiting time for other skincare application and I love that its packaging is convenient as well.
Overall Thoughts
I’ve been using this for over a week now together with SOME BY MI’s Miracle Range so I can’t really conclude if this serum works great alone. I’ll probably update this post again once I manage to empty the bottle. I might have a change of thoughts by then but for now, I could see this range is clearly working with my skin.
